My iPod was on random and this joint came on. This is one of my favorite productions. Kendrick co-produced it and Adonis wrote it. This was a great time in my life. Although there was so much going on under the radar, we were in a crazy ass zone creatively. Especially for R&B.

So it’s New Years Eve and I plan on popping some bubbly and kissing my family at midnight. I go into the package store to by the champagne and a patron notices who I am and goes on to compliment me on my achievements. I am very gracious because it always feels good to be acknowledge. Then she says to me, you have a great spirit and I want to do something for you, let me buy your bottle of champagne. I couldn’t believe it. It was the first time ever that anyone had offered to buy be a bottle of champagne. I am very appreicative for her doing that, but I am more appreiciative for her acknowledging the work that I do. Her name is Mitra Baker and I took pictures. Thank you Mitra for buying that bottle. Happy New Years!!!!
