If you have been following me, you know that I host the Wonderlust Live Music Series for the W Hotel sponsored by Master Card. So this event took place in Atlanta at the Midtown location. The house was packed and ready for Gavin DeGraw to hit the stage! First of all, he is an incredible talent. Songwriting abilities are out of this world! On top of that he got a cool vibe to him. Very humble but very focused. You’re going to be hearing a lot more from him in years to come!!

I apologize for the lack of blogs these past few days. I have been running around crazy finishing up this Ocean’s mixtape, Justin Bieber’s album, Mixing Monica’s album, & going to award shows in between. *smiles* Speaking of awards, I want to give a special shout out to my big brother/mentor, Greg Curtis. He took home SESAC’s top honor last night by winning 2008′s Songwriter of the Year Award for writing and producing Keyshia Cole’s smash hits “Love” & “I Remember”. Congrats doc, much love to you, Lisa, Gee, Dray, & Caren!!!

The Ladies of Distinction in Houston are honoring me at a luncheon tomorrow. The theme is “Stars Creating Change in Our Community…. Through The Arts, Health, Business, Education, & Sports” I am always humbled when an organization wants to honor me. I want to take this time out to thank them for even considering me and I am very happy to be honored at this function. FYI, my best friend Tanisha Lynn [actress] & my cousin D. Scantz [producer extrodinare] are also being honored for their accomplishments. If you don’t know them, Google them!!!! H-TOWN STAND UP!!!! HSPVA IS IN THE BUILDING!!!!

My best friend Rob has become a father, and I am extremely proud of him. He has accomplished so much in his career and now he has added “father” to his resume. I already know that he is going to be a fantastic father. I am honored to be selected by him and Jelly [whom I love just as much, she is a fantastic mother] to be Riley’s godfather. I met him and am instantly in love with my new godson. Here are some pics.
