Tis The Season… If you get sick, there’s nothing like a HOT TODDY…

Yield: 2 drinks

Glassware: Glass Mug

Ingredients

1.5 oz (45 ml) whiskey
12 oz (355 ml) of boiling water
Juice of 1/2 lemon
3 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp (5 ml) of black tea leaves
2-3 tablespoons (30 ml) honey

Instructions

1. Bring the water, cinnamon and cloves to a boil.

2. When the water boils, remove the pan from the heat and add the tea. Cover with a lid and leave to infuse for a few minutes.

3. Meanwhile, smear two glasses with honey.

4. Pour the hot mixture into the glass. Add the lemon juice and whiskey and stir.

Last summer the first COMME des GARCONS SHIRT Star Wars themed collection has released, featuring a series of items, covered in some of the most iconic characters of the film trilogy.

The two continue to work together for Spring/Summer 2013. They present a new series of shirts, short sleeve shirts and bags, this time using more colors than in the first season, which was strictly kept in black and white.

Designed by Pininfarina and unveiled in 2010 to celebrate 80th anniversary of the Italian design firm and the 100-year anniversary of Alfa Romeo, Mazda and Fiat have confirmed that the Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta Concept is set to make its way to production in the years ahead. Inspired by the iconic Alfa Romeo Duetto and based on the next-generation Mazda MX-5 – the latest evolution of the Miata – the 2uettottanta roadster will be manufactured at Mazda’s plant in Hiroshima, Japan and is rumored to feature a 4-cylinder, 1.3-liter turbocharged engine capable of about 200 horsepower. Look for the tiny two-seat convertible to be available come 2015.

Gadgets: Teenage Engineering x OP1

I had an opportunity to do some creating with this little device with songwriters Sam Ferrar and Jaymes McFarland. I must say this is a cool little gadget. The features are dope!

Here are some of the features:

Synthesizer and controller

8 built-in synthesizer engines, multiple effects and LFO’s. And some really unique sequencers ready to explore.
Connect it to your computer and control your DAW with the common play, stop, rec, forward and rewind. Use the 4 rotary encoders and 8 x 2 dedicated quick keys for fast selections.

Built in 4-track tape

Record everything on the built in 4-track tape. Match the tape speed to the sequencer clock for some really nice overdubbing with changing pitch. Change tapespeed while recording, or even record backwards in realtime. Switch to the 4 channel mixer and add som texture with the built in EQ and Drive.

All in one portable

OP-1 is the all-in-one portable Synthesizer, Sampler and Controller. With additional features like the FM Radio and an assignable G-Force sensor for motion controlled effects. With OP-1’s built-in Tape feature you are able to record everything you do on to the 4 tracks, with overdubbing, reverse recording

Drag and drop

When plugged to a mac/pc using USB, the OP-1 shows up as a mass storage device. Ready for you to drag and drop audio files between your computer and the OP-1. The 4 tape tracks are available as well as sampled waveforms for you to manipulate. No additional software or drivers required. Just plug and play.

Color coded interface

The unique OP-1 color coded interface with color graphics on the beautiful OLED display is direct related to the four color rotary encoders and the legend on the keyboard. Easy reading and a non-technical way to control and shape your sounds. Finally, you don’t have to be a scientist to use a synthesizer.

Playing at maximum volume you can travel over the atlantic ocean two ways constantly making music on your OP-1 before it runs out ouf power. And at the same time have over 2 years of stand by time.
